01The specialtyProsthodontics

What a prosthodontist is.

A prosthodontist is a dentist who is a specialized expert in the restoration and replacement of lost or damaged teeth. These “architects of the smile” make new smiles look beautiful and natural as well as function the way they should.

A prosthodontist doesn’t just look at teeth, but also the gums, lips and other facial features that contribute to your smile and overall appearance.

Once becoming a dentist, a prosthodontist’s clinical education includes three years of specialized training in an ADA accredited, advanced dental graduate program.

What patients say.

“I love my smile again!”“Dr. Schaefer (and her entire staff!) were the absolute best in perfecting my smile. I had an accident at 12 years old and can now say at the age of 32, I love my smile again! I was listened to and was explained the plan very clearly and had all my questions answered throughout the process so there were no surprises. I’ve had my front crowns redone so many times over the last 20 years. She went above and beyond…I will truly be forever grateful for my experience with her and the team!”

“I needed a new partial”“I needed a new partial, and was dreading the whole process and expense! From the moment I walked in for my first appointment with Dr. Kendra Schaefer, the staff made me feel welcomed and at ease! Hands down, they were the friendliest medical office I’ve ever stepped into! Dr. Schaefer is truly one of a kind; not only an expert Prosthodontist, but also incredibly caring, honest, and funny! (One day she talked about as kids they were poor, and sometimes had sugar sandwiches for lunch, a tradition my family also shared!). I never felt rushed; and Dr. Schaefer was consistently happy to answer every question I had, with a great bedside manner! If you’re looking for a prosthodontist who is as genuine as they are skilled, look no further! Dr. Schaefer and her Staff are the real deal!”
